Nana Akufo-Addo, who is campaigning for the August 7 nomination as the 2012 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party has successfully concluded his tour of the Ashanti Region. The tour, which covered the period between 16th and 28th May, 2010, was marked by the usual mass endorsements from most Polling Station Executives, Constituency Chairmen and Members of Parliament from the Region. “Nana Akufo-Addo’s Victory 2012 Campaign Team wishes to express our profound gratitude and appreciation to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the entire Asanteman for their generosity of spirit and support to the campaign. "The overwhelming enthusiasm displayed by market women, porters, commercial drivers and all manner of people on the streets of Kumasi who stood in the sun or followed the candidate to show their love and support has strengthened his resolve and further fired him for victory in 2012, for the common cause of restoring hope to the Ghanaian people. "The tremendous outpouring of support shown Nana Akufo-Addo affirms our belief that Asanteman will stand by the person they share a common cause with irrespective of where they come from.” By the gesture shown him, Nana Akufo-Addo, therefore, hoped that in God’s own good time he would be in a position to reciprocate to Asanteman. The victory 2012 Campaign Team is expected to begin their tour of the Eastern Region on Saturday, May 29, 2010 from the Abirem and Ofoase-Ayirebi constituencies and continue on Sunday 30th May, 2010 with Afram Plains North and South.
