Ghana Football Association boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has set a target of at least a quarter final for the Black Stars at the 2010 World Cup.Ghana will face Germany, Serbia and Australia in a tough Group D of the tournament which starts in South Africa later this week.The Black Stars managed to reach the second round of the competition in their maiden appearance in Germany four years ago.But the young administrator insists despite the absence of some key players like Michael Essien, they must improve on their past performance at the tournament.“The last time we went to the World Cup, we made it to the second round. This time we want to go beyond the second round and as far as possible,” Nyantakyi told Ghanasoccernet.com.“Once Africa is hosting the World Cup we are looking forward to an African team getting to the semi finals and even annexing the trophy.“What we have done with the training camp in France and the two friendlies is to give practical meaning to our wish of reaching the very top of the competition.”Ghana will play Serbia, Australia and Germany in Group D.Source: Ghanasoccernet.com
