The Electoral Commission (EC) says it is impressed with the level of patronage in the just ended voters registration exercise.According to the Public Relations Officer of the commission, Christian Owusu-Parry, the exercise went on well, having assessed its successes since Sunday.“I think the exercise went very, very well contrary to the fears expressed by people that the World Cup will take the interest out of the exercise.”He said every registration centre they visited showed that “patronage was very, very good”.He said there was no shortage of “essential materials” like registration forms and films.The exercise was initially fraught with complaints of inadequate logistics as well as claims that people from neighbouring countries were crossing borders to register in the Western and Upper East Regions.In reaction, Mr Owusu-Parry said the commission received only one report from Elubo in the Western Region where foreigners from the neighbouring Ivory Coast attempted to register.
