Mr Samuel Kwabena Danso, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Convention People's Party, (CPP) has encouraged members of the party to remain resolute and work hard to bring the party to power in 2012.
He said the party stood a better chance of winning the general polls, given, unity of purpose and understanding among its members and supporters.
Mr Danso, who was speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi, said in preparation towards Election 2012, they have already started picking the party's polling station officers, nationwide.
He said this formed part of a programme to strengthen its structures and make them more functional.
Mr Danso said it would be a big mistake for "anybody to conclude that the CPP is dead because it has been torn apart. It is surely going to bounce back in 2012."
He identified funding as the major challenge the party was faced with and called for a firm decision by the government on the funding of the political parties.
