Authorities of Mary Afriyie SDA JHS at Mamponteng in the Kwabre District of the Ashanti Region are investigating six students and a primary 6 pupil for allegedly performing occult acts.
They were picked up in an uncompleted building by community police assistants following a tip-off.
The seven children, most of them teenagers, were allegedly drinking a strange concoction and making some incantations in the uncompleted building after school hours.
Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah reports school authorities have refused to speak to reporters on details of the bizarre incident.
They however say they are investigating the matter.

“Head master of the school, George Antwi, told Nhyira News the alleged culprits are being interrogated with the consent of their parents,” Ohemeng reports.
Nhyira News sources say the kids confirmed during the interogation that they have been seeking black power, or juju, that will enable them get rich, charm girls and become stronger.
Leader of the group, according to Ohemeng Tawiah, was transferred to Mary Afriyie SDA JHS from another school where his mother had complained about his son's strange behaviour.
She has been seeking spiritual support from one prayer camp to the other to help deliver her son.
The Primary Six pupil who introduced other students to the fraternity was once initiated by a man he only identified as ‘mallam’.
He is believed to have blade markings on his shoulders, arms and other parts of his body that he (boy) explained were filled with a black powder.
