John Alan Kyerematen, an aspiring presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2012 Election, has said that there was no bad blood between him and what he called "his brother Nana Akufo-Addo" as they were made to believe and that they should not listen to the serial callers on radio to avoid having unnecessary heartaches."Believe not all you hear on the air waves, because we are all brothers contesting for one position in the family of NPP and we are all ready to support anyone who emerges as flagbearer to wrestle power from the NDC in the 2012 general elections," he declared.Mr Kyerematen and his team are in the Brong Ahafo Region. The trip is expected to last seven days. The tour has so far taken him to Jaman North and South, Berekum, Dormaa East and West, and Sunyani East.Mr Kyerematen revealed to the delegates that he and Nana Akufo Addo sat together to have chats and if the delegates followed what they heard, they would be driven away from their goal of supporting the party.He advised them to be careful of infiltrators from other political parties who tried to create confusion.Amidst applause and shouts of confirmation by the delegates, they said "Mr Kyerematen was a true party man and a patriotic fellow who could unite the party after congress to tackle the NDC."On arrival at the outskirts of the Nsuatre township in the Sunyani West constituency, he was met by party delegates and sympathisers with traditional 'Kete' drums and brass band music and led through the principal street of the town.Speaking to some of the delegates, they asserted that they had listened to the campaign messages of the other aspirants and that of Mr Kyerematen and had come to a firm conclusion that his message was one of hope and unity."We think Alan is a true unifier, we will all rally behind him because he has vision for the party and country," they noted.Source: Daily Graphic
