President John Evans Atta Mills left Accra on Saturday for Kampala, Uganda to attend the 15th Session of Heads of State and Governments of the African Union (AU).
Mr Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communication at the Presidency, told journalists at the Kotoka International Airport that President Mills would make a presentation during the Session, on the theme; “Maternal and Child Mortality."
He said President Mills would also hold bilateral talks with his counterparts and push for Ghana's representation on the African Human Rights Commission.
Mr Anyidoho said President Mills would brief the AU on developments following the Nkrumah Centenary Celebrations, considering the fact that the AU played a significant role in the celebrations.
President Mills is expected back home on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
At the Airport to see off President Mills were the Vice President, John Dramani Mahama, Ministers of State and Senior Military and Police Personnel.Source: GNA
