R&B singer turned gospel artiste, Nii Soul has disclosed that he left Bullhaus Entertainment because his former manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson known as Bulldog called him a joke and a failure.
The artiste, who shoot to fame after he came second in TV3’s reality show Mentor II, made the revelation on Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan Mix with Doreen Andoh Tuesday, May 31.
According to him, “we had a little problem and he made a statement to me and I thought it was out of anger that’s why he said that so after apologising. I personally messaged him to apologise again and he said he actually meant it. He said I was a joke and a failure.”
Born Joseph Ankrah, Nii Soul said, he could not leave his career in the hands of someone who believes he is a joke and a failure.
“I respectfully told him that he let me go and ‘joke and fail’ somewhere else so,” Nii Soul added.
He, however, debunked speculations that his issue with Bulldog drove him into doing gospel music.
He said, “I was in a deal with a US management firm when this whole gospel thing came up."
“So I’m getting to understand the calling and the kinds of things that He wants me to do. All of these things, at the end of the day, have worked for my good.”
He is currently working on a new studio album titled ‘Twenty Cross’.
