One of the suspected armed robbers involved in the Atebubu-Kwame Danso shooting of a police constable has been arrested Sunday, Atebubu Police Command has confirmed.
The suspect, Sahama Zacky, 34, alias Malam Zacky, is said to have been arrested in his self-contained house upon police intelligence at 2 a.m.
Items retrieved on him included 20 rounds of ammunition, international currencies, 2 single-barrel guns, mobile phones, and a new machete all packed in a black brief case.
He is currently with the Kwame Danso police where he is assisting with investigations that would lead to the arrest of his accomplices.

The police are still searching for the rest of the robbers.
On June 7, Constable Frank Klu was murdered by some armed robbers at Kwame Danso in the Sene district of the Brong Ahafo region.
He was escorting some market women from Kwame Danso to Atebubu when he was shot during a robbery on the Kumasi-Sunyani highway.
