Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, affectionately known as the Simigwa Do Man, was born in the port city of Sekondi-Takoradi, in the Western Region of Ghana and he is undoubtedly one of the country’s best highlife and ‘rap’ artiste.
Gyedu Blay Ambolley is popularly referred to as Ghana's first rap artiste due his fast-paced style of highlife that started in the 1970's.
With several albums and hits songs, including Onam Daadzie and Simigwado, to his credit, the Simigwa Do Man is now making new strides by featuring on albums of new artistes including a current song, Shepherds Pie with Ghanaian UK based artiste,Sway.
