Founder and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International (ACI), Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams will on Friday, July 1 join other clergymen to lead the nation in prayer for a peaceful general election in November.
The programme which will take place in all ten regions and led by various pastors, is organised by the National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches (NACCC) under the theme “Securing Peace, Prosperity and Stability through prayer.”
Clergymen including Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, Bishop James Saah, Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah, Rev. Dr Ampiah-Kwofi, Rev Dr Victor Osei and Rev Steve Mensah will lead the nation into the special time with God.
Speaking on the Joy FM’s daily devotional programme, Joy Time In-His-Presence, on June 29, 2016, Duncan Williams said the nation needs the prayers of the citizens especially at this crucial time.
Quoting Jeremiah 29:7 which says “pray for the peace of the land in which we dwell, for in its peace we shall know peace,” the Archbishop said every Ghanaian must pray to secure the peace of the country ahead of the polls.
Even though he disclosed the country will come out of the election strong and peaceful, he did not mince words when he said things are likely to go wrong if the will of men exceeds that of God and the nation.
Scheduled venues for the regional programme are: Living Grace Chapel, Berlin Top in Sunyani, Lighthouse Chapel, Apache in Ho, Lighthouse Chapel, Apache in Tamale, Lighthouse Chapel, Bolgatanga, Christ Frontiers Church in Wa and the Lighthouse Chapel in Koforidua.
Others are; Action Chapel International at Spintex Road in Accra, Power Chapel, Abuakwa in Kumasi, Faith Alive Chapel in Sekondi, and the Triumph Bible Church in Winneba in the Central Region.
