The Mankraso police have charged a 45-year-old farmer reported to have had several sexual encounters with his class-six daughter and niece for incest and defilement.
Kofi Boateng was picked up at Bonkwaso No. 2 near Mankraso in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region on June 29, after his victims; aged 16 and 13 who could no longer withstand his sexual demands reported his conduct to the police.
Boateng’s daughter [name withheld] a class-six pupil told police she’s carrying her father’s one and half month pregnancy.
Whilst police await a medical report on the two teenagers, police have charged the suspect who has admitted committing the offence.
According to the police, the amorous relationship between the two girls and their father who is said to have lost the wife about two years ago started six months ago.
Mr Boateng will enter the room in which the two has been sleeping through a window anytime to satisfy his sexual desires.
“They all sleep in the same room. According to the victims, anytime the father comes there, he would have intercourse; after this one, he will jump onto the other one. It’s like having intercourse in succession,“ District Commander, DSP John Adusei has revealed.
Mr. Boateng threatened to kill his daughter and his brother’s daughter if they dare tell anybody.
“The father threatened her that, if they dare tell anybody, he will butcher her or something,” DSP Adusei said.
But that threat did not scare the girls who reported the incident to the Mankraso Police.
According to DSP Adusei, police have already charged the suspect with incest and defilement while the police await a medical report of the two teenagers.
Quoting sections of the Criminal Code, Section105 of the Criminal Code; Act 29, DSP Adusei said the suspect could face up to 3 years imprisonment if found guilty of incest charges.
Meanwhile, the Mankraso Magistrate Court has remanded the suspect to re-appear on July 14.
