The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has urged the general public to dismiss any rumour of cancellation of the WASSCE results of certain schools.
In a statement released Thursday, signed by Mrs Agnes Teye-Cudjoe the Council stated, "emphatically that it has not cancelled any WASSCE results neither has it issued any statement to that effect."
Below is the statement:
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) wishes to react to rumours circulating on Social Media that it has cancelled the WASSCE results of certain schools.
The Council wishes to state emphatically that it has not cancelled any WASSCE results neither has it issued any statement to that effect.
Members of the general public are urged to disregard the alleged statement as it is not emanating from the Council.
Thank you.
