Government has commended polytechnic teachers for suspending their five week old strike.
The teachers took the decision over the weekend after an Accra High Court gave the National Labour Commission a week to appoint a mediator to resolve their impasse.
The teachers have however hinted they will abandon the classrooms again if the Labour Commission fails to comply with the court order.
Education Minister Alex Tettey-Enyo told Joy News government will act swiftly on their demand for negotiations.
Meanwhile the Education Minister is touring the Volta Region to inspect on-going projects in senior high schools.
He told Joy News he is impressed with the progress.
