Hitz FM’s Hitz Discovery train hit Club Infiniti in Mamprobi Saturday for the Zone Three auditions of the reality show.
Zone Three was made up of Lapaz, Kasoa, Mallam, Dansoman, Mamprobi and its environs and in all 34 young talents turned up to be grilled by the judges for a place in the next round of the reality.
By midday all was set for the show to begin and once again it was an all male affair as no female registered for this audition.
Prior to this audition, the Hitz Discovery train held similar auditions for Zone One and Two at De Temple Nite Club in Achimota and the Par Dees Night Club at Ashaley Botwe respectively.
Emmanuel Asante, Hagar Adjei, David Addy, Fiho Moses, Willis Adoboa and Owusu Frank made it to the next stage of the reality show from those auditions.
The earlier successful auditions raised the stakes for the Mamprobi audition and as the youngsters lined up to face the judges, it was obvious that they knew a lot was at stake.
Apart from regular judges Ahmed Abubakar (Blakk Rasta) and Nana Oku (Hammer) who were absent, Jamie Adjetey and Ahuma Ocansey Bosco (Daddy Bosco) were in the judges' seat as usual with the help of a guest judge Georgina Bimpong.
The 34 were given the opportunity in the first round to prove their worth and some of the performances were simply rib-cracking fun.
Six contestants out of the 34 made it to the second round of the audition hoping to be among the final three at the end of the show.
Finally, David Segah, John Afful and Augustine Oben Afrifa gained tickets to represent Zone Three at the next stage of the show.
The three from Zone Three bring the number of qualified persons to nine.
The Hitz Discovery train moves to the Boomerang night club for Zone Four auditions. Zone Four is made up of Accra Central, Asylum Down, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Adabraka, and Abelemkpe.
There will an after jam at the same venue after the audition.
