Black Stars vice-captain Andre Ayew is headlining a West Ham United onslaught on Ghana that has started on Wednesday.
He is in the country by the auspices of a collaboration between his club and its principal sponsor, Betway. His club teammate, highly rated 21-year old Ashley Fletcher is also with the team to inspire upcoming footballers.
The Ghana striker began the two-day series of events with a sports clinic at the Lizzy's Sports Complex in East Legon, Accra. Coaches and footballers were taken through the practical fundamentals of football by Stijn Vandenbroucke, Head of Medical & Sports Science as well as First Team Fitness Coach Tom Taylor.
"We are excited to be here and I personally think West Ham will get more fans with this visit that will bring more goodwill for this great club," Andre noted.
They are expected to undergo an autograph session at the Betway Concept Store in Adabraka later in the day where teeming fans will get the opportunity to take photographs with him and get his autograph as well.
The popular online and mobile sports betting brand, Betway, is bringing West Ham to the country as a demonstration of solidarity with the Ghanaian market, and is also seeking to establish a strong foothold in the hearts and minds of sports betting fans.
The West Ham delegates being brought to Ghana by Betway, will spend two days in the country. This unique initiative is the first of many stakeholder engagements that Betway will undertake in the Ghana, as part of their ongoing commitment to growing the Ghanaian sporting community.
