The Accra Psychiatric Hospital will later today discharge a second batch of thirty treated patients.In a similar exercise a fortnight ago, the first batch of treated patients were reunited with their families except for two who were returned to the hospital because officials could not locate their homes.Hospital authorities plan to continue the operation until a total of 600 patients are discharged over a period of six months as part of measures to decongest the hospital.Chief Psychiatrist, Dr Akwasi Osei told Joy News the hospital had assembled all community psychiatric nurses in the capital and given them the list of discharged patients so they can trace the patients and give them further care.He said the exercise was going well.Source: Joy News/Ghana
