Winner of last year’s Miss Ghana beauty pageant competition Stephanie Karikari has been made the new face of BO-16, the popular hair relaxer from local manufacturer Ghandour Cosmetics.
Stephanie’s new found status means she would lead most of the company’s publicity platforms as well as act as cover girl in most of their branding materials both home and abroad, for a year.
An excited Stephanie in an interview after the outdooring said, “I am grateful to all the wonderful people who worked around the clock to make this a reality. BO-16 is a world class product so for me to be chosen as its Face means a lot.”
With years of experience in mainline cosmetic products and with a huge local and cross-border consumer appeal, Ghandour Cosmetics continues to grow at a fast pace.
Ali Jihami, Marketing Manager of Ghandour Cosmetics on his part said, “we are excited to have Stephanie on board as the face of our company. It is refreshing news which we believe will go a long way to enhance the relationship between Ghandour and Media Whizz Kids.”
Jihami added that given the successful nature of last year’s event, his outfit wouldn’t mind sponsoring this year’s event adding, “We are looking forward to a good 2011 event. This year, just as it’s been done in previous editions, the management of Ghandour is expecting nothing but the best. Miss Ghana for us, is a cultural heritage the whole of Ghana can relate to, so we are happy to work with the organizers again.”
Last year, shortly after the pageant, they presented the first three winners of the competition with GH¢ 5000.
