Teachers in the Brekum Municipality in the Brong Ahafo region are demanding an immediate apology from the Police for beating their colleagues in Accra last Friday.
The Police in their bid to disperse the demonstrating teachers fired tear gas, claiming the teachers were riotous.
The teachers accuse the police of assaulting them.
The teachers who converged on Monday at the Brekum Presbyterian School insisted the police must apologise for their action.
They also want the leadership of the Ghana National Association of Teachers to resign.
They say they have formed a taskforce to ensure no teacher returns to the classrooms until their demands are met.
