The NDC UK & Ireland Chapter strongly disassociates itself from a recent statement published on Ghanaweb by a Group calling itself “Konadu for 2012 UK Group”.The Group which claimed to support Nana Konadu’s bid for the flagbearership of the National Democratic Congress said in their statement that they were speaking on behalf of NDC members in the UK, including the NDC Executives across Europe. The NDC UK & Ireland Chapter refutes this claim in the said statement. The UK & Ireland Chapter has never been part of the so called NDC Europe Group and therefore the Group could not claim to be speaking on behalf of the Executives and entire membership of the NDC UK & Ireland Chapter. The UK & Ireland Chapter supports the current NDC Administration under the able leadership of His Excellency Professor John Evans Atta Mills and fully endorses the President’s candidature for the 2012 general electionsWe, therefore, call on this Group to desist from playing mischief with the Chapter’s name in order to advance their parochial interests.
