A 53-year-old man died when a shea tree fell on him at Tampalpani in the Upper West region yesterday.
Abubakar Kassim is said to have been contracted together with another colleague to uproot the tree to pave way for a building.
The tree however collapsed on him whilst he was taking a nap under the tree halfway through the job.
He was later pronounced dead when he was rushed to the hospital.
Police Superintendent Henry Amankwatiye confirmed the incident to Upper West Regional Correspondent, Rafik Salaam.
