They are some of the most in-demand celebrities on the planet, fussed over at the most exclusive of parties in Tinseltown. But there is one hot ticket that the A-listers are scrambling to get their hands on. Today it emerged that Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Lopez are among the VIPs who have managed to secure a seat at the BAFTA party that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend during their Los Angeles visit Joining them at the 'Brits to Watch' event at the Belasco Theatre this Saturday will be Jennifer's husband Marc Anthony, Tom Hanks and Jack Black. Online include Broadway and Glee star Kristin Chenoweth, Walk the Line actress Ginnifer Goodwin, Desperate Housewives star Dana Delany and, somewhat bizarrely, Dancing with the Stars performer and Cheryl Cole's ex, Derek Hough. As the Mail Online reported yesterday, a select group of 'rising stars' from back home will be the main attraction at the event, hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Talulah Riley, star of the St Trinian's films, Downton Abbery star Jessica Brown Findlay and Juno Temple, set to star in The Dark Knight Rises, have all been picked to attend. The guest list includes 42 up-and-coming British stars of the screen who are making their names across the pond, with the aim of encouraging relationships between the actors and Hollywood movers and shakers. BAFTA said the newcomers 'highlight the incredible depth and range of great British talent'. Miss Riley, 25, starred in St Trinian's and its sequel, and had had roles as Keira Knightley's sister in Pride and Prejudice, The Boat That Rocked (Pirate Radio in the US) and Inception. She resides in Bel Air with her husband, PayPal co-founder Elon Musk. Joining her at the lavish black-tie event will be 21-year-old Juno Temple. The actress has appeared in Antonement, Year One and Notes on a Scandal and is currently filming The Dark Knight Rises alongside Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Liam Neeson. Other invitees include and Game of Thrones actor Harry Lloyd and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who is in cinemas now in the Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts film Larry Crowne. Jessica Brown Findlay, best known for her role in Downton Abbey, and former Skins star Daniel Kaluuya will attend, as well as Cemetery Junction star Tom Hughes. Attack the Block director Joe Cornish as another Brit name, and The Office star Lucy Davis' husband Owain Yeoman, known in the states for his role in the The Mentalist. Prince William is president of the British Academy of Film and Television, and has invited over 250 guests including Hollywood film executives and industry A-listers to the event. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will arrive in Los Angeles on Friday for a two-day stay following their tour of Canada. As well as the BAFTA event, the royal couple will visit the Inner-City Arts school on skid row and attend a job fair for veterans at Sony Studios in Culver City on Sunday before flying out of the States.
