TV star and satirist, Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM), has described Ghanaian movies as "concert". KSM is calling for a change in an industry that he says has been producing sub-standard movies over the years. “Though the movie industry has shown some growth, there is more to be done in order to build a robust industry that can stand the test of time. What we call the movie industry in Ghana is nothing but, excuse my words, concert,” KSM told Adom Entertainment News. KSM stated that the industry needs massive capital injection to train more professionals and provide the material resources to improve movies produced in Ghana. His comments followed a question put to him on what he would have done with GH¢51 million paid to embattled NDC financier, Alfred Agbesi Woyome as judgment debt if he were to be paid such an amount. He replied; “I would invest it into the movie industry to bring it to a world class status. But I learnt that you need Woyome as part of your name to have access to such a gargantuan amount,” he said jokingly. The Host of Thank God It's Friday show on Metro TV also denied rumours that he has been enstooled as a chief. “The KSM who has been honoured as a chief is my nephew and we were all named after my father, Kwaku Sintim-Misa. I am also a chief but on TGIF only,” KSM said laughingly.
