Sharon Lechter a renowned author, philanthropist and her husband Michael on Friday shared great moment of inspiration with students of the SOS school in Tema. The co-author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad in her simple but elegant black straight dress adorned with a sleek red jacket took the young lads through personal development and mentoring processes. She challenged the pupils to be assertive and confident at all times and implored them to identify their assets; dream big and follow their dreams with a definitiveness of purpose in order to achieve them.As part of her calling- which is to enlighten people, young and old on financial matters, Sharon Lechter advised the pupils to be financially disciplined. The Head Prefect of the School Akosua Gyebi Donkor told Myjoyonline.com they are greatly inspired by the presence of the legend.“We learnt more about managing our finances and we are going to apply it in our lives,” she said.Asked what lesson she picked from her meeting with Sharon she said: “You don’t always need to work at all times. As long as you have assets and investments all over the place it is easier to make it in future."She would rather be a business woman because of her interest in math and business and take on writing as a hobby. The students, especially those who were bold enough to ask questions were presented with gifts and learning materials from Sharon Lechter and her husband Michael Lechter.
