Two final year female students of Assin Manso Senior High School met their untimely death on their way home to participate in the biometric registration exercise.
They were among six passengers who died in a fatal accident involving an articulated truck and an Urvan bus on Tuesday evening.
One victim in critical condition is receiving treatment at the Central Regional Hospital and four others are on admission at the St. Francis Xavier hospital at Assin Foso.
Central region correspondent, Richard Kwadwo Nyarko reported the school authorities and students are traumatized by the incident.
The articulated truck with the registration GT 921-09 veered off its lane and collided with the Urvan bus.
The Assin Fosu police commander ASP Alhassan Sabaluku suspected the articulated truck driver was sleeping behind the wheel whilst the Urvan bus driver was driving at an unreasonable speed.
