Rihanna is used to life in the fast lane so her latest film role is a perfect fit.
The Bajan has bagged a part in the latest instalment of The Fast And The Furious franchise.
She’ll play the villain in the sixth — yes, sixth — chapter of the petrolhead movies.
A source said: “Rihanna impressed with her acting debut in Battleship. Writers think she’ll be perfect for the role. Her character has plenty of bite and doesn’t take any prisoners — just like her in real life.
“It’s a step up the ladder for her and could lead to bigger action roles.”
Rihanna will be driving supercars alongside the likes of Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, as the series continues its world tour of exotic locations.
Last time it was Tokyo... this time it’s England, as Bizarre revealed a few months back.
The movie will be set in London so Rihanna will be spending even more time in the UK, with filming expected to start as early as next month.
The singer will also be heading to Essex for the first time as racing scenes will be shot in Southend when London is out of bounds to filmmakers during the Olympics.
Rihanna had spoken of her desire to go into comedy following sci-fi action flick Battleship and hopes to work with actor/producer Seth Rogan.
She said: “I’ve always wanted to work with Seth. He is so funny. Even if he’s not in the film, all of his movies are funny.
“They’re the comedies I watch a thousand times, besides Borat of course, and everything that Sacha Baron Cohen does.”
It’s a surprise Sacha hasn’t approached Rihanna to star in one of his movies given she’s a big fan.
If he ever decided to make a sequel to Ali G Indahouse she would make a great love rival to his girlfriend Julie.
