Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Health, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak has indicated that the promise of a one-time health insurance premium by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government should be a reality soon.
He told Joy News the law to make that possible will be passed by Parliament by the end of September.
Alhaji Muntaka said the House was “at the consideration stage” of the bill before the sudden demise of ex president John Evans Atta Mills, an incident which slowed down the whole process.
The Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on health hoped that Parliament will be able to finish work on the bill by the close of sitting when the House reconvenes in September.
