South Africa music legend Hugh Masakela will once again be the headliner for this year’s edition of the Kasapreko Africa Legends Night.
The return of the self acclaimed ‘sit down’ comedian will definitely treat Ghanaian music lovers to a different level of authentic music as he promises a memorable night with his much loved classics as well as some new releases from his current collections.
Uncle Hugh, as he is affectionately called, captured the hearts of Ghanaians with his outstanding performance last year and has promised another unforgettable experience on September 22 at the State Banquet Hall.
Gil O Real, General Manager for Business Development and Marketing of Kasapreko Company Limited, said in a statement that, “Bringing back Hugh Masakela as our headline star is in response to the clamour for an encore following last year’s overwhelmingly successful concert.”
He added that, “This African giant will entertain the Ghanaian public in a unique and increasingly rare live performance. Last year was a ground breaking phenomenon. We decided to bring him back so patrons and entertainment enthusiasts can relive last year’s splendid experience again”.
According to Gil O Real, “This concert promises to be a memorable one with Hugh and it will come with an excellent line-up of supporting acts put together by our partner Global Media Alliance and the combination is guaranteed to relax, soothe and stimulate patrons.”
To be hosted by Ghana’s finest satirist Kwaku Sintim Missah (KSM), this year’s event will also feature saxophonist Steve Bedi, Lady May from Namibia, Ben Brako and Bertha.
