Hi-life and hip-life collaborators A.B. Crenstil and Obour have been
honoured in France with the title of ambassadors of the Ghanaian
Community in France Association (GHACIF) after a successful performance
in Europe recently.
The tour was organised by the Best of Ghana Music World Tour and took the two, who were supported by other artistes including Lord Kenya, Kokoveli and Kwesi Selassie to France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.
The Ghanaian community also installed A.B. Crentsil Nkabomhene (Chief of Unity) of Ghanaians in France.
To affirm the honour by the Ghanaian community, their President, Mr Osei Mensah Michael, followed up recently and presented a certificate to that effect to the two artistes at a short ceremony at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.
Mr Mensah said, their association was development oriented aimed at ensuring that their country Ghana, was developed and therefore their activities would go beyond France.
The two artistes expressed their appreciation for the honour done them and stated their preparedness to continue promoting Ghanaian music on the international scene.
Mr Stephen Howard, General Manager of the Family Tree Entertainment, who is also the Tour Manager of Ghana Musical World Tour, commended GHACIF and its president for what he said was a wonderful reception.
He said it was the association which organised the trip for the two musicians and commended the Ghanaian community for their high patronage of the event which he described as one of the best attended event in Europe.
It was sponsored by One Touch, Ghana International Airlines, Kasapreko, Western Union, GHACIF and supported by the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture.
