Ghana’s fastest rapper, Sarkodie last Saturday bagged the Best African Act at the 2012 Headies Awards which came off at the Expo Hall of the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria.
On the night however, Wizkid, Vector and P-Square were the big winners as they won two awards apiece.
Rapper Vector received his first ever ‘Headies award in the Best Rap Single category for his hit Angeli which features 9ice, as well as the Lyricist on the Roll award.
The night also saw music duo P-Square returning to the awards after a two-year hiatus.
Davido, Brymo, Tiwa Savage, May D and Ice Prince were also awards winners on the night.
Their Invasion album won Album of the Year and Best R&B-Pop Album.
