Psychiatrist Ruth Owusu on Thursday shared tips on JoyNews’ AM Show on how people can beat anxiety in the uncertain times of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Head of Psychiatry at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital advised viewers to count their blessings.
“Gratitude cannot exist with anxiety,” she said, "so be grateful to God."

This, the psychiatrist said would help alleviate the pain of the restrictions imposed by authorities in a bid to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Also, Dr Owusu advised viewers to engage in group activities together with their friends, although not physically.
She said friends can pick a movie and watch it together in their respective homes.
"They can then discuss the movie via text messaging apps like WhatsApp while they watch," she said.
According to her, this can create a bond which would fill the vacuum left by physically meeting in groups.
The psychiatrist also advised friends to connect via phone calls and video calls instead of just texting.
This she said creates closer connection and helps to ease anxiety.
