Actress Adesua Etomi and her husband singer Banky W took to Instagram to celebrate their son, Hazaiah’s first birthday.
In a post on the social media platform, Adesua Etomi shared a video capturing her journey from her pregnancy test and first sonogram to giving birth to her child.
Although the couple kept the news of her pregnancy under wraps for a long time, the video showed they had told their family and some of their friends in the industry.
Adesua in her post thanked God for “the best gift ever…It’s been a year filled with lots of love, joy, peace and laughter. Hazaiah, the one who Yahweh sees. My joyful baby, my funny baby, my pacesetter. After Jesus, You are the light of our lives.”
Not being one to shy away from telling her pregnancy stories, Adedua revealed she also suffered a postpartum haemorrhage.
The actress stated that she is thankful to God for keeping her alive.
Also praying for her son Adesua wrote “The Lord shields you, announces you, defends you and favours you. Anyone who blesses you is blessed. Anyone who curses you is cursed. I declare that you are a city set upon a hill, your glory will never be hidden.”
On his Instagram page, Banky W spoke blessings into his son’s life and expressed gratitude to God for giving them everything they prayed for.
“I already knew I was the luckiest, most blessed man alive when God gave me Susu… then He gave us Zaiah. My goodness. This amazing young man is everything we prayed for and so much more. My heart is overwhelmed every single day with love, joy, and gratitude.”
Adesua and Banky W tied the North on November 19, 2017.
In February 2021, the couple announced the birth of their first child in a post to Instagram.
Later in April, in a testimony at The Waterbrook church, the couple revealed that they had lost their twins to miscarriage and talked about adoption/surrogacy after the incident.
Speaking in an interview at The Waterbrook Studio, she said that not many people knew she was pregnant at the time adding she was told her babies were fine at her first appointment.
However, during the second check-up, Adesua said she initially laughed when her doctor had told her she could not find her kids’ heartbeat.
