Dominic Adiyiah produced devastating form that impressed Italian giants, AC Milan to snap him up after the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
The Ghana striker, who finished the youth tournament as the Golden Ball and Golden Shoe winner after helping the Black Satellites win gold has since not matched the potential that greeted his emergence onto the World stage.
But a six month loan spell with Ukrainian side, Arsenal Kyiv from Milan last season appears to have revived Adiyiah's career with many even writing him off.
Adiyiah, 22, is calling his new territory, home, as he seeks to rediscover his spark after completing a permanent three-year deal this week with the Ukrainian side.
“I chose to sign with Arsenal Kyiv for a reason and that is to get more playing time,” said the Ghana international.
The striker, by his own admission, has had times when he wondered whether he was finished.
“With the kind of support I enjoyed from the coach and the inspiration from my colleagues during the few days I spent with them last season, things will definitely get better with this move,” Adiyiah said.
“I have a target to score and help them both in the league and the Europa competition.”
