The maiden edition of the Joy FM Family Pop Quiz took off on Sunday, May 1, 2022, with the Adjei Family coming out tops and taking home the ultimate prize.

A family of four, a husband, wife, son and daughter, walked home as winners with 34 points after three exciting rounds.

The family was represented by its head of the family, Chris Adjei, son Jeremy of IPMC level 5, and daughter Krystine, a level 300 university student.

The Adjei family joined the contest with a positive mindset as their family philosophy remains "live, love, laugh, and be the best version of yourself by God's grace".

The maiden edition of the competition proved to be thrilling and exciting as members of each family took turns in answering questions thrown at them by host Lexis Bill.

The Adjei family upheld the true essence of teamwork, as they coordinated and discreetly communicated on many levels to ensure victory.

Speaking on Joy FM Super Morning Show, Head of the Adjei Family, Chris Adjei, revealed that his family is an avid listener of Joy 99.7 FM and that he couldn't wait to get involved in the Joy FM Family Pop Quiz because they love to do things together as a family.

He reckoned the show would be exciting, saying, "we said we were coming to have fun, and we did".

Mr Adjei detailed how eager his family was to take home the ultimate prize in the maiden edition.

"We were coming to win; I had my daughter come all the way from Kumasi. So we told ourselves, we need to win this", he disclosed.

The vanquishing Adjei family left the premises of Joy FM with loads of excitement in their hearts and took home a great package of sponsors and supporters.

First National Bank gave the youngest contestant a star up banking package, while Labadi Beach Hotel offered the winning family buffet lunch at no cost.

Volta Hotel is giving the family a night's stay coupled with a Dodi Princess ride. Cheezzy Pizza came through with pizza boxes for all families, including Appiah and Senayah, who scored 28 and 27 points, respectively.
