Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) is set to lead a massive demonstration Wednesday in protest against what they say is bad governance the nation is witnessing under the Mahama-led government.

Dubbed "Aagbe Wor" [government is killing us], the demonstration is premised on corruption, economic hardship and poor services in the country.

"We can state without any shred of doubt that, this NDC government is insincere, lacks competence transparency and above all very corrupt. Almost ever) policy to promote the interest of the people has been fraught with corruption resulting in the mass hopelessness plaguing this Country. The NDC may have the intention to delivci but they lack the will to execute any policy to the common benefitof Ghanaians,” AFAG noted Tuesday in a statement.

The group drew attention to the fact that no one is exempted from the consequences of this mass hardship, adding: “The AFAG demo will give a unique platform to the ordinary Ghanaian to speak his mind on issues threatening his or hei survivability.”

The statement added “there is no midway to the current economic circumstances. "it's either you are worse off and want a change or better off, and want John Mahama and his incompetent regime to continue reigning economic terror. Simply put, it's either; you are happy about the consequences of "create, loot, and share" (i.e. hikes in prices) of goods/services and over taxation) or not.”

According to AFAG, the nation needs a spirited determination to overcome “the oppressive rule” of  President John Dramani  Mahama.

“It's not about how to win power it's about how to manage power in the best interest of the Ghanaian. Certainly John Mahama got it  wrong,” the group noted.

“Mr President, you have incurred over GH¢ 42 billion in debt, but there are no  investments to show. Mr. President where is our money?" the statement asked.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service has announced its readiness to offer the kind of protection required to make the demonstration a successful one and incident-free.

According to the Police, the necessary preparations have been made to ensure law and order, for the citizenry to go about their daily economic and social activities without any hindrance.

"We are going to be there in our numbers to make sure that at the end of the day, we will have a successful and event free demonstration,” ASP Afua Tenge, Accra Region Public Relations Officer assured in a radio interview.

ASP Tenge, however, cautioned demonstrators to conform to the rules and various traffic directions that would be given by the Police.
