The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo says the sinful in the NDC could pass for an angel in the NPP, a riposte to comments directed at the NDC by a leading member of the NPP, Sheik I.C Quaye.
Sheik I.C Quaye, a former Greater Accra Regional Minister in the Kufuor administration, while speaking at the NPP’s regional rally at Mantse Agbonaa, Jamestown in Accra a month ago described operatives of the NDC as thieves and that, the level of corruption pertaining under their rule is unprecedented and that NDC members can no longer be described as thieves but that they are “stealers”.
But Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo who spoke at the NDC’s regional rally at the same venue over the weekend said the NPP member got it all wrong, saying a thief in the NDC will qualify for a pastor in the NPP. He added, the unintelligent person in the NDC is the most intelligent in the NPP.
He added that if someone tries to throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians, the truth must be revealed just the way it is in order for them not to be led astray.
Afotey Agbo stressed that those who follow Prof John Evans Atta Mills are not following him because of personal gains but rather to better the lot of Ghanaians.
He said while they have not been able to fully satisfy the needs of all Ghanaians, Ghanaians can attest to the fact that there is a huge improvement in their living standards. Besides, he said there is absolute peace in the country.
The new Regional Minister said his doors are open and urged all not to hesitate in channelling their concerns to him.
