The Africa Prosperity Network has announced the winner of the Make Africa Borderless Now! logo design competition, following what it describes as an overwhelming response from creatives across Africa and the global African diaspora.
In a statement, the Network said the Pan-African contest, which was launched on January 14, 2026, attracted 1,041 entries from designers across all six regions of Africa — East, West, North, South and Central Africa — as well as the diaspora, known as Global Africa.
“This remarkable participation demonstrates the widespread enthusiasm for the movement’s vision of a unified, borderless Africa with seamless trade, travel, and economic integration,” the Network said.
The winner was initially expected to be announced on January 26, but organisers extended the deadline to allow for a detailed assessment of the unusually high number of submissions.
According to the Network, entries went through a rigorous, multi-stage selection process based on creativity, conceptual clarity and alignment with the movement’s vision.
In the first round, 541 designs were selected, followed by 80 shortlisted entries in the second round. This was narrowed down to 10 finalists, before five designs competed in the final stage.
The ultimate decision was taken by the Board of Directors of the Africa Prosperity Network.
“The winning design stood out for its exceptional ability to capture every aspect of the Make Africa Borderless Now! concept,” the statement added.
It noted that the logo clearly reflects the movement’s goal of promoting a single African market and the free movement of people, goods, services and capital across the continent.
The winning logo will be officially unveiled on the third day of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2026 at the Accra International Conference Centre, during the formal launch of the Make Africa Borderless Now! movement.
Organisers say the unveiling will mark the beginning of a continent-wide campaign aimed at accelerating economic integration and shared prosperity.
The Make Africa Borderless Now! initiative is a Pan-African movement that advocates the removal of trade and travel barriers to unlock Africa’s economic potential and improve livelihoods across the continent and the diaspora.
The Africa Prosperity Network, which leads the initiative, is a Pan-African organisation focused on advancing economic integration, sustainable development and shared prosperity through strategic partnerships and policy engagement.
