Airtel Money, the fastest mobile money transfer and payment service in Ghana, has partnered The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to offer candidates the opportunity to make payment online. These online services include Request for certificate printing, result checker, attestation and verification of results.
Airtel Money’s strategic tie-up with WAEC, the body that conducts the Senior School Certificate Examination in West African countries and Basic Education Certificate Examination in Ghana, will enable Ghanaian candidates, to make payments using Airtel money from their mobile phones anywhere, anytime. The partnership brings on an innovation which gives all candidates the benefit of making secure online payments through their mobile phones with instant feedback which is characteristic of Airtel Money in amore efficient and in hassle-free manner.
What this means is that candidates and other stakeholders are saved time and money they would hitherto have spent in making physical payment at designated payment points.
Under this arrangement, when a candidatevisits the WAEC online portal to request for a certificate, examination results, attestation or verification, Airtel Money will be found listed as a payment option. Upon selecting the Airtel Money option the requester will be required to key in his/her mobile money wallet number. The requester instantly receives a pop up message on his phone for payment confirmation to be made with their mobile wallet pin number. In the case of an attestation, an online receipt will be generated as proof of payment or the softcopy of requester’s certificate will be made available for download or printing if they requested for a certificate.
