Regional Youth Organiser, of the Savannah Regional branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has argued that the Nana Akufo-Addo led administration has performed better than the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) administration.
Raphael Akati Mahama said the NPP has worked more for the people of his region than the NDC did throughout its 8 years in office.
He stated the Akufo-Addo-led government has created employment opportunities in the region for the youth across all political divides through its numerous social intervention programs in all seven districts of the region.
Mr Akati Mahama was addressing the press at Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality as part of its program, dubbed: "The Youth Must Know Series”.
He claimed that "the security services recruitment in general as decentralised and depoliticized unlike before has seen 309 young persons recruited from the Savannah Region across the political divide. Nana Addo's ‘almighty’ Nation Builders Corps (NABCO), which came to salvage thousands of young and unemployed graduates did not leave the Yagbon land out”.
The Regional Youth Organiser noted that the Nana Addo-led government's decentralized Ghana Education Service (GES) recruitment saw a total of 463 and 168 teaching and non-teaching staff respectively across the region.
On infrastructure, he said the benefits in the region are unprecedented, adding that the youth in the infant region are benefiting hugely from the ongoing developmental projects.
He cited the construction of an ultra-modern Feeder Roads Department in Salaga, a multi-storey Regional Health Directorate in Daboya, the construction of Regional Agricultural Department in Bole and the ongoing construction of a state-of-the-art Regional Coordinating Council in the capital, Damongo.
“From the narrative above, it is probably clear on the face of evidence as put out, that the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has outperformed candidate Mahama and his NDC in his home region,” Mr Raphael Mahama.
He further called on the people of Savannah Region to reward the NPP government with a second term and also vote massively for its Parliamentary Candidates in all constituencies.
“A leader is one who knows his the way, goes the way and shows the way and that you have done. Yes indeed our brother from far away Kyebi has proven to be a better brother than our brother from Bole/Bamboi," he insisted.
