Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, has sympathised with flood-hit communities in the Eastern Region.
“Earlier this week, I sent a message of sympathy to the chiefs and people of Abomosu and neighbouring villages when floods displaced many residents and caused the death of three in the process.”
In a statement issued and signed by Nana Akufo-Addo, he said, “I am saddened to learn that the people of Kade and Fantewkaw have been hit by floods, similarly displacing many.
On behalf of entire membership of the New Patriotic Party, I equally extend our sympathies to the people of Kade and Fanteakwa.”
We encourage you to be strong in these trying times and call on the public authorities, especially NADMO, to do their best to provide appropriate relief to citizens of all areas hit by this unfortunate disaster, as soon as possible.
We call also on the MPs for Kade and Fanteakwa, Hon Ofosu Asamoah and Hon Kwabena Amankwah Asiamah respectively, to get fully involved in the relief efforts. We wish you well and pray you God’s blessings”, according to the statement.
