The Minority Chief Whip has lashed out at President Akufo-Addo’s speechwriters, for misleading him in his recent address to the nation on the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak such deceit is embarrassing to Ghana internationally.
The President in his ninth address to the nation claimed that Ghana had administered more Covid-19 tests per million people than any other country in Africa.
However, the French News Agency, (AFP) said labeled the claims as false.
The News Agency after comparing available data from Ghana to that of five other countries, said South Africa, Djibouti and Mauritius rank higher than Ghana in terms of Covid-19 testing.

Muntaka further accused government of failing Ghanaians in the fight against Covid-19.
He added that government’s approach toward the Covid-19 fight has been reactionary instead of proactive.
