Ghanaian music enthusiasts in Europe have reason to celebrate as the dynamic Akwantufuo Band prepares to take the stage in Paris, joined by Afrobeats star Sefa and Highlife sensation Yaw Stone.
The event, titled Akwantufuo Band Live in Paris, is scheduled for January 25, 2026, at 7:00 PM at 270 Avenue du Président Wilson, 93210 Saint-Denis, France. Organised by BNF Joe Etti Production, the concert promises a vibrant mix of traditional Highlife, Afrobeats, and Afro-pop, showcasing Ghana’s rich musical heritage on an international stage.
Leading the lineup is the Akwantufuo Band, fronted by renowned percussionist and xylophone maestro Nana Senti, famously known as the “xylophone beast” for his masterful command of African polyrhythms.
The band has earned a reputation for captivating live performances, blending classic instrumentation with contemporary vibes. Recent releases like Sika (2024), SUGYA featuring Obibini (2025), and MMERE featuring Abiodun (2025) have further cemented their place in Ghana’s evolving music scene.
Joining them is Afrobeats sensation Sefa (Sefadzi Abena Amesu), who brings infectious energy and chart-topping hits to the stage. The Accra-born singer, with Ewe and Dagara roots, rose to prominence with E Choke featuring Mr Drew in 2021, a track that dominated airwaves and sparked a massive dance challenge.
The song earned her the Afrobeats Song of the Year at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Now an independent artist after parting ways with Black Avenue Muzik in 2024, Sefa continues to shine with singles such as All Over featuring Camidoh (2024), Shelempele (2025), and Bedroom Bully featuring Laruso (2025).
Rounding out the stellar lineup is Dr. Yaw Stone (Godwin Boakye Yiadom-Buor), celebrated for his multi-instrumental prowess, including his signature style of playing castanets with his toes while strumming the guitar. A vocal defender of traditional Highlife, Yaw Stone has released tracks like the motivational Time Changes (2025), fusing timeless sounds with modern Afrobeat elements.
This Paris showcase marks another milestone for Ghanaian artists exporting live band culture to the diaspora, offering fans a night of cultural pride and unforgettable entertainment.
Tickets are priced at €30 (regular) and €50 (premium) and can be booked via www.eventshag.fr or by calling +33 6 14 70 75 66.
