Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has donated a sum of GH₵20,000 and 1,000 bags of cement to the Volta Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the construction of a regional office.
He made the donation on July 4, at a sod-cutting ceremony organized by the region for the building of an ultra-modern party office in Ho.
Party faithful present at the ceremony lauded the founding member of the party for his generous donation.
Present at the sod-cutting ceremony was the National Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Freddie Blay, the National Youth Organizer, Nana Boakye, Mr. Fred Oware, former Volta regional Chairman, some regional executives, party members, and sympathizers.
The new regional office complex to be constructed is expected to enhance the party's work in the region and results in the 2024 general elections.
In the 2020 general elections, the New Patriotic Party won the Hohoe parliamentary seat with John Peter Amewu as its candidate.
