Two suspected armed robbers who allegedly took part in robbing a retired public servant Ama Brema Busia at her Abelemkpe residence have finally been arrested.

The suspects include Godsway Nutakor aka papisco, 25, former house boy of the victim and Bright Asamoah aka Nana Yaw Asaase, 19, a carpenter.

The two were said to have bolted to Nigeria where they were seeking refuge after one of their accomplices Paul Afari, 27, was earlier arrested and jailed 25 years by an Accra Circuit Court.

Another suspect by name Anyidoho Christian Kwame, a friend, who allegedly aided the two robbers to escape to Nigeria through Nyanoah in the Eastern Region to Agbozome has also been arrested.

The three are currently in police custody assisting in investigations.

They were said to have robbed the complainant of various cash sums including   $35,500, €3,000, £300 and GH¢ 25,000.

After sharing the booty, Godsway Nutarkor allegedly used his share of the money to purchase two cars including a Toyota Corrolla with registration number GS 5571-13 and a Nissan Almera with number GR 5645-13.

He then gave the remaining amount which includes $5,000 and € 3,000 to her mother in Nigeria for safekeeping.

Briefing the media, DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the Accra Regional Police Commander said Godsway Nutakor, a former house help to Ama Busia, lured the two to rob the complainant of various sums of monies around 7:20 am of Sunday March 22, 2015 after the complainant had left home to attend church service at Calvary Methodist at Adabraka.

Soon after the complainant had left the house, the two suspects, Godsway and Bright together with Paul Afari, the convict, called at the gate and told the houseboy, identified as Simon Tawiah, that the complainant had asked them to come and work on her roofing.

Not verifying the authenticity of that information, the houseboy ignorantly opened the gate and allowed the suspects into the house.

Upon gaining access to the house, the three threatened the occupants with knives and marched them to the room of the complainant where they made away with the monies which were in different currencies and bolted.

Police investigations later led to the arrest of Paul Afari who was sent to court and sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Further investigations led to the arrest of the two at Hohoe in the Volta Region, on their return from Nigeria.
