The call for Joseph Agbeko Kpogo to be appointed as the next Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Anloga District in the Volta region is gaining momentum as residents laud his remarkable contributions to the district's development.
Many describe him as a selfless and compassionate leader whose grassroots initiatives have left an indelible mark on their lives.
Over the years, Hon. Kpogo has spearheaded numerous projects that have significantly impacted various sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment. His dedication to community development has earned him immense respect and admiration.
Infrastructure Development
Mr Kpogo's commitment to improving infrastructure in the district is evident in his donation of dozens of streetlights to the Anloga Municipal Assembly and communities such as Trekum, Tregui, Azanu, Dzita Agbledomi, Woe, and Tegbi.
His efforts have enhanced security and improved night-time activities in these areas. Additionally, he spearheaded the construction of the Woe Bridge at Afedome, which provided relief to residents by preventing floods during the rainy season.

Humanitarian and Healthcare Initiatives
Mr Kpogo’s humanitarian spirit was evident in 2019 when he provided relief items to flood-affected residents in Agorbledokui.
In the healthcare sector, he facilitated the construction of a feeder road to the Dzedzorve Health Centre, installed streetlights at the Tegbi Health Centre, and initiated the fence wall construction project at the same facility.
Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he donated essential items such as nose masks, sanitisers, and Veronica buckets to health centres, protecting frontline workers and patients.
Educational Support and Youth Empowerment
A strong advocate for education, Mr Kpogo adopted the annual quiz competition organised by the Young Minds Intellectual Network and regularly donates trophies and educational materials to winning schools.
His commitment to academic excellence extends to his annual distribution of mathematical sets to final-year Junior High School students in the municipality. To promote youth engagement and healthy lifestyles, he has donated footballs and jerseys to local youth teams.

Economic and Livelihood Support
Recognising the importance of the local fishing industry, HE has provided essential support to fishers in the district. He also demonstrated his commitment to healthcare workers by supplying touch lights to nurses in Shime (Trekume) to assist them during power outages.
Community Voices
Residents of Anloga Municipality are united in their belief that Mr Kpogo’s selfless service and grassroots connection make him the ideal candidate for MCE. According to them, he has consistently demonstrated a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people and should be allowed to continue the development projects he has started.
A broadcast journalist, Emmanuel Gameli Dovia, said this about him: “I have covered numerous stories about Mr Kpogo’s initiatives. His confidence, resilience, and passion for community development are unmatched. He is truly the leader Anloga needs.”

As the selection process for the MCE position unfolds, the voices of Anloga residents grow louder, advocating for a leader who has proven his dedication to the district’s growth and well-being. To them, the choice is clear: Mr Joseph Agbeko Kpogo is the right man for the job.
