Mingle Music’s very own Article Wan, known for his hit single ‘Solo’ has fired the organizers of the S Concert for allowing presenters to perform on stage instead of music artistes.
Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM’s Nana Qwame Larbi, Article Wan said that after a long wait and going through hell to be able to get to the backstage area of the concert, he never got the opportunity to perform on the stage.
Article Wan commended the S Concert team for their works on the night, but only chastised them for allowing presenters such as Kofi Okyre Darko (KOD) and Kwame Bee to perform while artistes were backstage.
“I don't know why they did not allow us to perform. What I realized was that presenters were on the stage performing. I think that time they spent on stage could have been allocated to artistes to perform because the fans were there to see the artistes not presenters,” he said.
Article Wan also revealed that he and crew were physically manhandled by the security at the Accra Sports Stadium when they tried to get inside the venue to perform.
Article Wan claimed that the organizers of the concert did not give his entourage a car pass, compelling him to park his vehicle outside and use the entrance meant for the patrons.
“The security man was lashing some of the fans. Before I realized he lashed me also on my neck. He later recognized me and apologized. Some of the fans wanted to beat him but I told them to calm down,” he claimed.
