Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has all but ruled himself out of Ghana’s next two fixtures against Guinea in a friendly and Mauritius in an African Cup of Nations Qualifier.
Gyan got injured a fortnight ago during a league game with his Chinese club and is yet to fully recover.
The injury has prolonged Gyan’s chances of scoring his 50th goal for Ghana but he is hopeful his teammates will make the country proud.
“It a must win game because whenever Ghana is having a game, the expectations are high and for me what I will do is to help them, is to pray for them and hope that the players will be fit for the upcoming matches.”
“For me, I am injured and I am out of the team but I wish the team good luck and I am very optimistic they will make Ghanaians proud."
Ghana first play in a friendly against Guinea in France.
