Gas supply from the Atuabo Gas plant to the Volta River Authority (VRA) is expected to normalize by the end of this week.
This should improve gas supply to VRA for power generation and thereby minimize the ongoing load shedding.
Gas supply to the VRA has reduced by about half - from 87 million standard cubic feet a day to 47 million.
This is attributed to adverse weather conditions affecting gas delivery from the Jubilee Field and by extension, power supply.
Communications Manager of the Ghana Gas Company, Alfred Ogbamey Tetteh tells JOY BUSINESS, supply should stabilize by the end of this week once favourable weather conditions improve.
"We are passing on what we are given to the VRA. We were given a timeline of about a week...so we are expecting that by the weekend the situation should/would've been resolved," Mr Ogbarmey said.
He said they are counting on this information from Tullow in expectation that the challenges being faced will be resolved as promised so supply returns to normalcy.
