Authorities of schools hit by storms that swept through parts of the Northern and the two Upper Regions last week are contemplating closing down the schools till help comes from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO).They say the slow response of NADMO more than five days after the storm was worrying.At some Senior high schools, classrooms have been converted to dormitories and the situation is reportedly becoming difficult to manage.Upper West Regional Correspondent, Rafik Salam reported that the Daffiama SHS which has a student population over 900 students was in such a sorry state.At Gushiegu, the District Chief Executive, Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini says he will begin distributing 30 packets of roofing sheets to affected schools tomorrow morning.That he believes would ameliorate the situation and return teaching and learning to normalcy.
