Axis Pension Trust has vowed to dominate this year’s JoySports Invitational Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon.
Led by its HR, Emmanuel Mensah, the group produced a one-of-a-kind atmosphere during a JoySports visit to its Head Office at East Legon ahead of the tournament next month.
Team Axis is fired up for the challenge and has boldly declared that they are not coming to participate — they are coming to conquer.
“We are fired up, we are coming to the University of Ghana Stadium on August 9, and we are going to shake the place. We are coming with wonders and we are going to destroy them (other participants). Let them come!” Mensah stated.

Draped in their signature green, Axis Pension Trust says their ambitions are fuelled by what they proudly describe as their ‘green blood.’
“We are made of green blood. We are still members of the green army; we still have the green blood running within us. That’s what’s under our skin. As Emma said, on August 9, they should come and see.”
And it’s not just football where they expect to dominate. For the CEOs' Penalty Shootout, Axis says the trophy is already theirs.
“Our CEO will win. We have flown him to Liverpool to prepare for the shootout. He’s training under Arne Slot and Mohamed Salah. He’ll return to Ghana the morning of the tournament, take a little rest, and then win it — so they should watch out.”
In the Women’s Penalty Shootout, Axis is keeping their trump card under wraps.
“We have our own version of Barcelona’s Alexia Putellas in-house. Her identity remains a secret for now — where she is and what she’s doing is classified information.”
They are equally bullish about their chances in tennis and table tennis:
“For tennis, we have our own Jannik Sinner. For table tennis, following our brand extension in Asia, we have one already in-house. We are coming like Kakai!”
Their message is clear: Axis Pension Trust doesn’t make empty promises.
“We are highly exceptional. What we are saying is not for optics. When we promise, we deliver. Our slogan is Your Reliable Partner in Pensions. In sports, we are just as reliable.”
On August 9, Team Axis is not coming quietly. They are coming to make a bold, unforgettable statement.
"Let them come," they said.
This year's event, scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025, proudly supported by Royal Sweet Limited, Akonor Ginger, Afriwara, Ayuda, Ghana’s leading services app, App Baako, services bebree, Game Energy Drink, feel energy, Emigoh Ghana, producers of Yomi Yorghut and The Luckiest, luck is everywhere; bringing extra excitement and energy to what promises to be another memorable event.
